The roots of the kala chana chaat dish can be found back in the B.C. era. Kala Chana Chaat or Black Chickpeas salad used to be made in the Uttar Pradesh state of India. From there onwards, this classic Indian street food salad got spread and became famous across the whole subcontinent. It has a tangy flavour and is usually a bit spicy. Not only does it help you lose a couple of pounds, but you’ll do so while fulfilling your taste buds.

These black chickpeas can be used to make other delicious recipes like masala daar kalay chanay

  1. Black chickpeas ( boiled): 1 cup
  2. Potato ( boiled): 1
  3. Tomato chopped: 1
  4. Green chilli: 3-4
  5. Tamarind water: ½ cup
  6. Chaat masala: 1 tablespoon
  7. Salt: ½ tablespoon
  8. Roasted cumin seeds: ½ tablespoon
  9. Chilli flakes: a pinch 
  10. Sugar: 1-2 tablespoons
  11. Steps to follow:
  12. Take salted boiled black chickpeas in a bowl
  13. Add boiled potatoes, tomatoes, and green chilli to it
  14. Then add salt, chaat masala, chilli flakes, and roasted cumin seeds to it.
  15. Then add tamarind water to it and give it a good mix
  16. Add sugar to it and it’s ready.
